Registration instructions
- After receiving your registration form and fee, we will notify you of class information by phone, and receipts will be distributed during the first class period. Except for those who register in person, receipts will be distributed on the day the course starts. If those who register by mail need to request a receipt before the course starts, please prepare a self-addressed envelope with sufficient funds (HK$2.2) and submit it together with the registration form. Our center is not responsible for any postal errors.
- If the class cannot be made, the Association will notify participants by phone 7 days before the class starts;
Participants can contact our colleagues to inquire about class opening status. Once the course fee is paid, it is non-refundable. If there is any dispute, the Association reserves the right to make the final decision.
Instructions for students
- In order to improve the service of our center and protect students, please read the following instructions carefully before class.
Class Arrangement
If tuition is paid via bank transfer, please bring proof of transfer to the first class.If the identity of the student cannot be verified, the center has the right to ask the student to leave.
Students are required to take care of their own personal belongings. The Center will not be responsible for the theft or damage of any personal belongings.
Please follow basic classroom rules:
Keep the classroom environment clean
During class, please turn off alarm devices such as mobile phones and pagers, or set them to silent mode to avoid disturbing others.
No audio recording or photography is allowed during class.
Issuance and reissue of certificates
- Those who are absent from class for more than 1 hour in total will not be issued a certificate. Attendance is determined by signature on the attendance sheet.
If students lose their certificates and want to get a replacement, they must apply within the validity period (within three years after completing the course) and pay an administrative fee of $100, and present a valid identity document to verify the center's student records.
Instructions for Classes in Bad Weather
When the Observatory declares a typhoon or rainstorm warning signal, the course will have the following arrangements:
Before the course starts
Sent on or after 6 a.m. | Morning and full-day courses/activities cancelled |
Sent on or after 11 a.m. | Afternoon classes/activities cancelled |
Sent on or after 3:30 p.m. | Evening classes/events cancelled |
Before the course starts
When Storm Warning Signal No. 8 is issued | All courses/activities are terminated immediately |
When the black rainstorm warning signal is issued | Indoor classes/activities continue; Outdoor classes/activities will be terminated immediately |
